Year 10 pupils played host to a special guest at their morning assembly this week. Dr John Chatterjee from London Air Ambulance based at the Royal Free Hospital in Whitechapel, came along to pick up a cheque for £1800 which Year 10 pupils raised during Enrichment Fortnight last year. Dr Chatterjee spoke about the crucial work of the Air Ambulance across London, and how none of it would be possible without the support and fundraising efforts of the local community. The real heroes he said, were the ELSS pupils and others, who provided the means for us to do what we do.

He also offered some career advice to pupils considering a career in medicine and talked about what inspired him to become an anesthetist.

The London Air Ambulance team thanked ELSS pupils publicly in a Tweet: “Thank you so much to the school and pupils for their incredible support – we hope that you all had a great and informative morning.”
